It’s been a very busy but exciting year for everyone here at Typecraft. Chances are you’ve seen some of our antics strewn over social media. But just in case you haven’t, we’ve written a ‘Best Bits of 2016’ for you lucky people.
January – Like most Januarys we went for the ‘New Year New Us’ ethos. This triggered a whole revamp of Typecraft. (Notice our lovely new website and branding). This got us off to a fresh and exciting new start.
February – Even more change for Typecraft! We relocated offices! Those of you who have been unfortunate enough to accidentally go to our old offices now know that we are in fact situated out in the sticks at Finnick House, Longhill, GL51 9TB.
March – The introduction of Finnick Group! Finnick Group was created to bring together a powerhouse of design and print for you. This combination enables us to offer you a solution from beginning to end with complete control throughout. This collective combines Typecraft, Finnick Solutions and Finnick Creative!
April – Another energetic month ahead for our Managing Director, Chris. On the 30th April Chris completed his gruelling charity ride from London to Paris over 3 days (covering 220 miles)! Along the way Chris raised an amazing £1,212 for Great Western Air Ambulance – a charity close to his heart!
May – After a hectic first four months we decided it was a good time to fling open our doors for our open day and show you around. With several demonstrations on our new machines, and a new creative department upstairs we had a lot of talking to do! To those of you who attended, thank you! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
June – June was the month of Glitz and Glam for Typecraft! We put our glam rags on and headed to the ‘big smoke’ after receiving the news we had been shortlisted in the Print Design and Marketing Awards for the ‘Best use of Social Media’. And who’d have thought it… Becky’s hard work paid off! We’re absolutely ecstatic about winning the award for Best Use Of Social Media! We wouldn’t have been able to do it without everyone’s continued support, so thank you. You can find our daily ramblings on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram!
July – This football season you might find our name cropping up here and there in association to Cheltenham Town Football Club! This is because we’ve officially become a sponsor of Cheltenham Town Football Club. We’re super excited to be supporting the team and can’t wait to follow them through the season.
August – There was more glitz and glam this month at the Summer Picnic Ball which was hosted at Lydes Court, Toddington in aid of both the ‘Injured Jockey Fund’ and ‘The Great Western Air Ambulance Charity’. The kind support and generosity from everyone who took part in the Tombola and Silent Auction managed to raise an extraordinary amount of £7,000. Typecraft and Finnick Creative worked alongside the organiser in producing the design and print for the event free of charge.
September – The end of September was a great weekend for our sponsored jockey Harry Stock who won his first comeback race since injuring his back in January 2015! He raced at Uttoxeter in the 17.40PM race on Nafaath trained by Donald McCain. Harry suffered from a broken back and was fortunate not to have been struck with paralysis so this is a remarkable achievement! Great to see him back in action and looks like Harry could be one to watch!
October – Time for Broadway Horse Trials to offer a fantastic show of equestrian agility. We sponsor this fabulous equestrian event annually and it continues to be a growing success! We can’t wait to see what it holds in the future!
November – We were happy to receive our fundraising certificate from Great Western Air Ambulance (GWAAC) this month, a total of an amazing £8395.00! GWAAC is as fantastic charity which is close to our hearts so we’re very proud to be supporting them. #keepitflying.
December – And that’s it! We’ve made it to the end of 2016! It’s a manic month with Christmas just around the corner, but of course we managed to fit in our Christmas party! (insert photo)
We hope you have the best Christmas and a magical New Year and we can’t wait to see you fresh faced and raring to go in January!
From everyone at Typecraft
